Tree Worship

Sedona, Arizona 2006. The Cupcake Honeymoon.

I tilted my head to look up through all that shiny gold extravaganzaness after I introduced myself and took about nine million pictures. I remember thinking It’s like she’s plugged in and looking around for an outlet.

I said a prayer that the whole of the marriage would be as incredible as all of that blue and yellow and reaching shiny magnificence. I hope she heard me. I think she did.

I consider myself a devout Treesbyterian. Do you?

  4. Did we ever dis-blog-cuss that I went to Sedona on my honeymoon?
    We must have.

Treebeard of the Ents would approve.

  6. I like adding a name to another spiritual dimension. Consider me a member of the Church of Treesbyterian. And Sedona is heavenly. Except for that part where you drive through Oak Creek Canyon with your heart in your mouth and your fingernails in the roof of the car.

    • Cupcake Murphy says:

I bet Oak Tree Canyon was the spot we drove thru WHERE THEY WERE DOING AN INTENTIONAL BURN and so as we approached the first stop on our honeymoon after driving 11 hours we thought we were (and when I say “we” I mean “I”) entering a forest fire! I wanted to turn back but Mister Cupcake forged forward.

  7. oh yes…and a Cooperbyterian…
