Saturday SlobberLove

lockedoutSometimes on Saturday, after a delightful morning family lounging session on the front deck, our two-legged lounge partners get so eager to guzzle down more coffee that they sprint inside and forget to notice that the third member of the pack is stranded outside all by his lonesome and when this happens, we initially feel a swell of panic similar to what it felt like to be stranded on the streets of South LA before we were rescued, but that is quickly overcome by a stern and serious feeling, as we patiently wait outside to be noticed, picked up and hugged.

Awww, this made me feel so badly. I’ve done this to our pups before too and they get such a look of concern on their faces. Panic at the disco! Oh my!

I feel horrible when I come in from outside and my little side kick Tootsie has been lingering a little too long over the gopher holes and gets to the door after I have closed it. That look…oh my goodness. That look!

  3. Don’t worry, Coop! The two-legged ones always come back for Coop!

He’s never out there for long before we miss his little hiney.

  5. The Zadge says:

I can see how the two-legged lounge partners could forget about him, what with being so intent on grabbing one of the few coffee mugs in the house.

It’s tragic, really. How few there are. I don’t know how we make it through.

  6. What a face! But what’s with his right ear?

    • PJ says:

I have come to believe it may be some kind of secret message he is sending us. I have yet to decode it.

  7. Cupcake Murphy says:

His right ear has its own agenda. We’re constantly flipping it back—the right way round. When both of his ears go back like that he reminds me of Olivia de Havilland in Gone with the Wind.
