Tuesday Expert Advice

Dear Cupcake,

Sometimes when I watch the TV and I see the Cardinals and Archbishops trying to decide on the Pope I get a little worried that they’ll choose my neighbor Lenny who likes to leave broken coffee machines and various glass bird figurines strewn about his yard and when I wonder about this I think, well, it’s all in God’s hands, right? It will be up to the Pope Picking Panel whoever they choose but do you think they’ll take into account that Lenny listens to 78 gazillion trillion decibel rave music at 7:30 in the morning or do you think they’ll just focus on his innate ability to tend to every feral cat that wanders through the neighborhood?

Dear Petrified,
Good Luck,

Dear Petrified, I think you’re safe about the Lenny worry. I listened to the homily at the high holy festal mass this morning and the priest man said a lot about feeding sheep but nothing about feral cats. So unless Lenny has some sheep coming to his door I think you’re good.

I just don’t understand how this Popeapalooza merits all the media attention it is getting. Isn’t the Catholic Church basically irrelevant at this point?

  3. I’m still lobbying the Pope Picking Panel to pick Pope Cupcake.

I agree with the Zadge……..this popeapalooza is over the top.
But he who saves feral cats has something going for him that not everyone does.
    I’d be worried.
But if they pick him, won’t he move to Rome??? and save feral cats there?
So you’ll have more cats around, but less music in the morning.

I think the fashion has something to do with it, Zadge. Who would care if they were a bunch of old guys wearing Mid-Western brown suits and Hushpuppies? Or red or green trousers with white belts, plaid shirts, and white shoes.

Have you seen the recessional of the Cardinals from the bascillica? Distinguished husband said it would be more interesting if they had little motor cars and would weave in and out. Maybe Lenny could bring that up when he gets there.
