Was just turning my computer off when I saw that you had a new post. Of course I could not resist. I’m glad I didn’t. I’m going to bed with a laugh and a smile. You are one special cupcake.

  2. I need one today. thanks.

I feel this is why dogs will always be superior to cats in the “boost your morale” department (although I have been blessed by both in my life) because no matter how crappy your day, a dog will always greet you at the door like a cheering crowd, waving tails instead of flags, leaping about with furious joy, bestowing wet noses and possibly kisses in endless displays of undying devotion. You can generally count on feeling loved and adored if there is a dog in the house.

When my boss questioned if anyone would object to her getting a dog and bringing it to work 8 years ago, I said without hesitation that not only would we not object, I would personally guarantee it would have good care when she needed to leave the building. I now get some serious golden retriever love on a daily basis at work in addition to schnauzer love at home. I can never get a new job.

  4. Yes, this is helpful and wonderful. Beautiful trees as standing ovation? Yes, please.
